The S4S engine is a 4-cylinder diesel engine under Mitsubishi, known for its efficiency and reliability in industrial applications.

This engine has a total displacement of 3.331 liters and is equipped with a four cylinder inline configuration, naturally aspirated. Therefore, the complexity brought by the design of the turbocharging system is avoided, and the reliability is increased.

Despite its simple structure, the S4S engine can reach a speed of 2500 revolutions per minute and a maximum of 62 horsepower.

The S4S engine emission standard is EU Stage IIIA, designed to ensure compliance with strict environmental regulations while maintaining efficiency.

The cooling system of the S4S engine adopts a water-cooled design, utilizing a centrifugal water pump equipped with a thermostat for forced circulation, which helps maintain the optimal operating temperature and effectively extends the service life of the engine.

The fuel efficiency and effective combustion are achieved through the indirect combustion system of the engine, which adopts a vortex chamber design.
